12 of 12 (August)

Late - but hopefully not too late - my first version of 12 of 12 - inspired by Chad, who started this monthly event more than a year ago.

I've been lurking for quite some time, but my big excuse for not participating was my old and big (but great) Canon PowerShot G5 camera. Now I got a new and very handy one (a Canon Ixus 850IS).

8.52 ~ Almost forgot that today was August 12 - and my first chance of making a 12 of 12 ;)
Morning coffee is ready after breakfast.

   

10.43 ~ On the road with my two kids and my mom.
Driving over The Vejle Bridge on our way to a family get-together in Jutland.

   

11.03 ~ A Skanderborg Festival drive-by.
We could see all the cars parked along the highway (not on the higway, but on a field nearby).
We're not yet at our destination, but the GPS promises no more than 25 minutes left.

   

11.44 ~ They had a cute rabbit and it looved being fed with yellow flowers, but just for a while.
My youngest boy (3 years old) was a little scared at first, but the oldest told my mom that he wished for one at his 9 years birthday next year.

   

14.09 ~ We finished lunch late.
Some of the family (those who lives nearby) arrived altmost an hour (too) late, but the food was tasty. I had some grilled chicken and a sausage from Gøl with lots of salad.

   

16.07 ~ Which one to choose?
Plums in Madeira or Strawberry in Champagne?
Tea is keeping warm underneath "the cat" and coffee is ready too.

   

17.56 ~ On our way home. A little more than an hour drive.
We're not yet on the higway otherwise I wouldn't be taking pictures...
Look how many kilometres our old  car (soon to be 11 years old) has given us. 260.342 kilometres in ten years ;-) And the last 4.000 of those were on our 15 day vacation to Germany, Austria and Italy only a week ago.

19.41 ~ Loading the dishwasher. Took the easy way of making dinner tonight.
Koldskål med kammerjunkere (I have no idea what it is called in english).

   

20.42 ~ Some one forgot their sandals in the middle of the entrance... Now he's asleep taking and sniffing a little bit. Sounds so cute, even when it is a 8 year old boy that's doing so.

   

21.00 ~ Tea and a little homework before first day at job after 3 weeks of vacation. Acually the studying are for my assignment at University. I'm almost at the end of a 4 year long (extra) education for a more economical minded job.
The postcard is one of my sisters creations ;)

22.11 ~ Wiping the whiteboard clean making room for the next 2 weeks of activity and tasks.
My oldest son starts school again tomorrow, which I have promised to participate. The will get a new classteacher, and he is very excited and a little nervous.
It is also someones birthday next sunday.

23.19 ~ Had to do a hard cleanup and defragmentation of my old PC.
While browsing and editing these pictures, I had to start over several times due to many crashes and burns.

That's why I'm late in doing my 12 of 12!

The pictures might bee too heavy to load and then I'm sorry! I will do better next time ;-)

Maybe I should consider buying a new PC, but then again... This one I've had for several years and learned to live with the slowliness (is that a real word?)

   

BONUS: Light
When we drove home last afternoon/night, I had a funny feeling of driving in a tunnel of light...

Nice photos! I think those yellow flowers are dandelions (in English) - rabbits seem to love them! Good luck with the studying :-) (Blogger slowed me posting my 12 of 12, so we're both a bit late!)
